This is a superior quality example of a genuine Antique English early Victorian circa 1840s Chiffonier / Sideboard made from and finished in selected well figured Honduran Mahogany.

The rear backboard has a full width gallery shelf which is supported by ‘S’ shaped and carved scrolls to either side. Above is a very well carved cresting of both French horizontal ‘S’ scrolls and some Egyptianesque motifs. The cabinet section is of upright rectangular form and has two side by side frieze drawers with recessed ‘bull nose’ drawer fronts. below is the two door storage cabinet with a full width internal shelf. The doors have feature veneered raised panels and the lower door frames have applied foliate and scroll carvings to compliment the top. All on a protruding plinth base.

This quality example is in excellent recondition having been professionally refurbished at considerable expense by the previous owner.
