This is a very fine example of a genuine antique later 19th century English Victorian period two tier oval ETAGERE in the French influence.

The Etagere is superbly finished in rare Satinwood and is very well embellished with a Mahogany cross banding and profuse multi coloured floral inlays. On both tiers is a central oval inlay of crossed musical instruments over a musical scroll.

The lift off oval serving tray has a raised perimeter gallery, brass handles at either end and also a clear glass bottom. The top tier is supported on four elegant shaped and tapered line inlaid supports and the whole is supported on four elegant squared tapered multiple line inlaid legs connected with inlaid corner brackets and crinoline stretchers.
