Antique French early 1900s Wrought Iron and Glass Ceiling Light.

This is a very good genuine antique French early 1900s Art Noveau hand wrought Iron and Pate De Verre glass Ceiling Light with four internal globe fittings within the bowl and four more suspended on scrolled arms from the main frame.

The main bowl shaped shade is supported in a circular frame embellished with typical hand wrought vine and leaveswhich in turn is suspended from the top foliate ceiling rose by by four rods also embellished with grape leaves. From the circular frame are four compass point positioned short scrolled arms and stylised bell shaped glass shades held in position br wrought iron leaf motif galleries.

One shade is signed by Schneider, presumably Charles Schneider who was born in Germany however moved to Niece in France to work at the renowned Daum Glass Works.

Condition: Original.
