These are a set of eight genuine high quality antique French (later 1800s) Dining Chairs in the Louis XV manner. The ‘show timber’ frames are superior to most and are very well crafted from solid French Oak, have hand caned back panels and are superbly embellished with fine and profuse raised carving to the chair frames. The show timber franes are typical Louis XV with their serpentined seat rails, cabriole legs, scrolled toes plus ‘S’ and ‘C’ shape scrolling.

The chairs are very solid however a few have very minor damage to the cane back panels ( which we can have recaned if required) however we would recommend that the seats not only be recovered but reupholstered for greater comfort which we can also organise if required. The size of the seats is very generous.

Condition: Frames excellent - Caning overall very good - Upholstery average / poor.
