A superior quality set of six genuine antique English George IV Mahogany Dining Chairs attributed to Gillows of Lancashire who were one of the great 19th century makers. The chairs are of a recognised Gillows design and the attention to detail is superb. The seats are caned and there is provision to fit timber framed and upholstered drop on seats. The shaped seat back frame is shaped and carved plus the straight waist rails are are both carved and nicely recess panelled plus the turned and tapered front legs are boldly reeded.
