This is a monumental Dining Table of grand proportions and it will seat at least 14 people and probably 16.

The top is crafted from beautifully figured solid boards of ‘golden’ deep honey coloured English Oak. The table top then has a broard applied and dark stained solid Oak cross banding.

The table is supported by three pairs of legs which are ‘inboard so they do not affect seating arrangements and are a combination of turned plus squared and tapered legs terminating in original all brass castor assemblies. The faceted section of the legs are decoratively embellished with recessed vertical panels and subtle refined carved details.

The table extends by a telescopic parallel runner system operated by a winding mechanism from both ends and we have the winder to operate it.

Condition: Virtually excellent for age.

Size: ( closed ) - Length 190cm x Width 149cm…..( extended ) - Length 545cm x Width !49cm.

Price: Our vendor paid $19,950 back in the early 1990s. However it is now available for a very competitive $13,985.

Sellers Observation: This table would have once graced a very grand country manner house. Large tables especially of this quality are extremely rare and usually command premium prices.

I would not be surprised if the table sells to a buyer who may take it back overseas as tables like this are very hard to find.

Not only could you no longer find this quality of timber any more however you could not even have it made for the selling price these days.It would be around a $20,000 custom build for labour and materials and it would not be a genuine antique.
