This is a very smart quality genuine antique French earlier 1900s two tier Etagere in the French Louis XVI manner and of oval form. Under neath is a cast metal seal ( also accompanied by a lead seal ) certifying that “for customs purposed this item is over 100 years old”. This Etagere is ideal for entertaining or just being used as an Occasional Table and or Lamp Table.

The top tier has a vertical brass edge banding and a decorative pierced brass gallery plus a grey inset marble top which is well suited for glasses and bottles etc. and is supported by fpour curved shape tapered and fluted supports positioned directly above the main support legs. The lower tier is also oval in shape however features Mahogany with a brass line inlay and a brass perimeter vertical edge banding plus a brass carry handle at either end.

The whole is supported on four elegant vertical turned tapered and fluted in the Louis XVI manner legs with cylindrical brass cups at the bottom and shaped and beaded brass mounts at the top. There are also brass decorative panels at the lower tray level where the upper supports flow on to the lower tier above the legs.

Condition: Excellent commensurate with age and use.
