On offer is a very good quality genuine antique English Georgian Regency period first quarter of the 1800s ( 1811 - 1820 ) Side Table which opens to become a Supper and or Tea Table.

The table is of high quality as it is finished in selected very well figured and now nicely mellowed honey colour imported prestigious Brazilian Rosewood and further embellished with parallel brass line inlays to the top surface and a feature brass inlaid panel to the centre of the frieze section. The legs also have complimentary parallel brass line inlays,

The top is basically rectangular with rounded front corners and swivels to 90 degrees from where it may be opened by folding over to lay against the frieze / apron section. When at 90 degrees there is access to the secret internal storage area and the opened table top reveals a fully finished book leaf matched table surface. The centre support column is rectangular and upward tapered and features recessed front and rear panels. The base is quadruped with concave sides and angled corners from which flow four elegant tapered and curved legs with upper scrolls and terminate in all brass Lion Paw feet with the original brass castor assemblies beneath.

Condition: Excellent for age and like most 200 year old pieces the table has had general sympathetic refurbishment and presents well.
