This is a really good, high quality, genuine antique, English mid Victorian circa 1850 Walnut Card Table which may be used as a general games table, side table or hall table.

The table has a well figured book leaf matched figured Walnut top section of desirable serpentine form and a curved bevelled edge molding. When turned ninety degrees the table reveals a hidden storage well within the frieze section.

When opened the table reveals an inset circular olive green baize playing surface featuring a gold tooled leather border between the baize and the outer walnut surface.

The serpentine shaped apron compliments the shape of the top and features a lower edge molding and a bold well carved decorative central embellishment.

The top section is supported on four boldly carved shaped and scrolled cabriole supports reflecting the flamboyant French Louis XV rRococo manner and flow down to a central carved base with its vertical finial. from the base flow four shorter cabriole legs terminating in foliate carved and scrolled feet with the original all brass castor assemblies beneath.

Condition: Over all very good commensurate with age and use however there are some minor age related faults which will be professionally rectified prior to delivery / collection and the restoration costs are included in the price. Or the table can be purchased for less as is.
