Antique English Georgian Regency period circular Rosewood Table.

This is desirable and excellent example of a superior quality genuine antique English earlier 1800s Georgian Regency period 1811 to 1820 Dining Table or Centre Table.

Superbly crafted from prestigious imported Brazilian Rosewood which was originally very dark however now desirably nicely mellowed to a light honey colour which shows of the feature grain patterns.

The circular top has a shallow apron and the table when not required in the room has a tilting top which is also removable.

The top is supported on an impressive squared and upward tapered column which is embellished by a boldly carved Tulip collar at the bottom of the column

The base is very stable being a flat quadruped base with concave curved sides and beneath are impressive boldly carved Lion paw feet with reeded French ‘S’ shaped carved scrolls and with the original all brass castor assemblies. beneath.

Condition: Excellent commensurate with age and use.
