antique English Georgian Mahogany Table.

This is a lovely table and an excellent example of its type. It is a genuine antique English Georgian period / George III early 1800s and is a very versatile Breakfast / Supper / Occasional Table.

The Table is exceptionally well made from prestigious imported Central American Mahogany however not just any Mahogany. This table with its beautifully figured, extra thick, circular top is made by craftsmen from a single wide board.

The table top tilts vertically if not required and has a brass locking mechanism usually found on much larger tables.

The central support column is a simple elegant baluster shape and once again turned from a single piece of Mahogany.

From the small cylindrical vertical base flow four compass point positioned curved tapered and shaped legs with upper reeding and terminate in square brass toe sabots with all brass castor assemblies beneath.

Condition: Excellent for age.
