Antique Englisgh Georgian Mahogany extension Dining Table.
Antique Englisgh Georgian Mahogany extension Dining Table.
This is a very good option for a person who appreciates quality genuine antique furniture however also likes a simple almost minimalist look.
The table is a genuine antique English Georgian ( George III - late 1700s ) Extension Dining Table comprising of two separate ‘D’ shaped ends which may be used individually or as a pair of Side Tables or together to create a small dining table. If one leaf is added the table will seat six to eight people and if both leaves are added then the table will seat up to ten people as when the gate legs are positioned they are in from the table edge and do not impede seating positioning.
The table is very well made and each section of the top is desirably made from a solid single wide board of prestigious imported Central American Mahogany of excellent figuring. and colour
The table top has a refined and quality feature of continuous three lines of horizontal reeding around the edge and minimalist simple elegant square tapered legs in the Hepplewhite and Sheraton manner of the later 1700s.
Condition: All sections are structurally excellent. The two end surfaces are lighter than the two extension leaves which is mostly the case due to different amounts of use. We can organise for an excellent professional restorer to refurbish the end sections and bring the colour and finish in to line with the two extension leaves at a moderate trade price.
Size: Length - ends together 116cm - with one leaf in 176cm - with both leaves in 236cm x Width 119 cm x Height 71.5cm. The height may be raised if required. depending on your chair selection.
