This is a very hard to find highly decorative compact size genuine antique French later 1800s / early 1900s Walnut Dresser in the earlier 18th century manner comprising of an open dresser top on a base.

The top removable section has a full width shelf and a lower central cupboard with an arched door and upper molding plus a lower drawer with a curved sloping front and short shelves to either side. The vertical backboards are beautifully painted with multiple medieval and romantic scenes on a blue green background.

The rectangular Dresser base is rectangular in form with a deep wide central door with smaller same depth cupboard on either side. The top surface, drawers and all cupboard doors are cross banded and herringbone line inlaid plus have original brass drawer and door pull handles. The whole stand on four corner positioned tall and elegant cabriole legs with decorative carved knees and circular pad feet.

Condition: Over all very good commensurate with age and use with only minor age related a.f. to some art work and a small section of the veneer. Complete with key.
