This is a great decorative Vintage Italian cast Display Stand / Plant Stand / Lamp Stand made in the early 18th century manner.

The circular top has a piece of brown and white grained marble with a highly decorative edge molding comprising of gilt folage with a simulated fringe below.

The shaft or column is cabriole in form with scrolls with foliate decoration on the mid section and bottom. At the top is the head of a bearded man with a stylised crown.

and standing on block feet. The column, base and legs have a distressed grey painted finish with silver leaf highlights.

Condition: Structurally sound. Top section excellent. The finish on the column and legs is slightly warn with the red ground showing.
