This is a very superior quality example of its kind as it is very well made and is quite heavy for its size. Also the applied cast brass mounts and moldings are of a high quality as is the selection of marble in the serpentine shaped top. The timber is solid French Walnut and the lower brass galleried shelf is finished in a segmented ‘sun burst’ pattern.
One toe cap or sabot is missing which we can have cast so no problem there. To make the most and bring out the best in this fine piece i would recommend a professional refurbishment to the polish and for the brass mounts and moldings to be re gilded and it would look sensational. We can organise this work at a trade price if required.
