On offer for sale is a good and hard to find ‘compact’ size genuine antique 19th century English Victorian period circa 1875 Over Mantle Mirror.

The mirror follows the earlier French influences with a vertical frame with rounded top corners. The timber frame surrounds the thick glass mirror plate and is embellished with a cast decorative finish including typical decorative moldings including a crest embellishment and complimentary decorations at the base on either side. The nicely profiled frame has an outer continuous row of ‘chain of pearls and an inner continuous molding of leaves. Within is the he silvered Mirror plate.

Condition: Very good for age.
