These are a good quality set of six genuine antique English William IV circa 1830 Rosewood ‘show timber’ frame Dining Chairs. The rail backs are well shaped and curved. The lower waist rail has opposed carved Tulips at either end and the turned and tapered front legs have ring turnings and elongated inverted carved Tulip embellishments. The rear legs are of sabre form.

Condition: The chairs have had a life of almost 200 years and have never had any maintenance work over that long time frame and have come to us untouched and are offered in ‘as is’ condition requiring general refurbishment and reupholstering which is good as we can have the frames professionally generally refurbished or fully professionally restored to suit ones individual requirements. Also we can organise the re upholstering - all at a trade price. This is an opportunity like buying a neglected home for less due to its condition and doing it up the way you want and youn are not paying for other peoples choices of colour and fabric etc.

Sellers Observation: These superb frames are offered for sale at a lower price than much inferior factory mass produced frames made from lesser quality timber and can have poor detailing which can cost hundreds more per frame….it doesn’t make sense.
