This is a great decorator piece. It is a Vintage Italian made Empire revival piece in the classic Egyptian style with an Ebonised double sided X frame Stool also referred to as a Curule Stool with a well upholstered seat.

The lower curved legs terminate in well boldly carved parcel gilt Lion paw feet while the uprights terminate in upper carved scrolled and gilded sylised foliate hand grips which are connected front to rear by turned stretchers with reeded and gilt mid sections. The decorative panel over where the frames cross is also gilded.

Condition: Both the frame and the upholstery is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use.
