This is a lovely example of a very good secession Beech framed bentwood settee with rattan panels and seat made by Kohn in Vienna around 1890.

Jacob and Joseph Kohn were renowned Austrian furniture makers and interior designers in Vienna and specialised in the art of making bentwood furniture using Beech.

This is one of the better models featuring a triple rattan panelled back with decorative scroll work and arms with a strong Art Noveau design influence. The seat is also one large rattan panel

Condition: Desirably original and in near excellent condition with only a very small 5 cent size damaged area to the rattan in one panel.
