This is a very good genuine later 1800s antique French Louis Philippe Desk.

The rectangular top has rounded corners and a decorative perimeter edge molding. it also has a recessed area already prepared for the inclusion of an inset leather with gold tooling writing surface. as are the pull out slides on either side which increase the work area if required.

Below is the frieze section which also has rounded corners so as to compliment the top area. These rounded corners feature vertical panels of rectangular inlays in a complimentary timber.

There are two semi pedestals each with a pair of stacked drawers with recessed panels and between the semi pedestals and above the knee hole is a wider drawer with the same panel detail. The back of the desk is finished so it may be used in the centre of a room and not have to be up against a wall. The ends are also paneled so as to compliment the deskfront.

Condition: Excellent as it has been professionally refurbished and is just awaiting a colour choice of leather. Complete with key.

Size: Closed - Width 124cm x Depth 75cm x Height 79cm. The two pull out slides ( when pulled out ) are 38cm each.
