It is a craftsman made piece and the case is made from solid wide boards of prestigious imported Central American well figured Cuban Mahogany. and as a result the chest is heavy.

The three lower drawers are full width and graduated in depth, have cock bead perimeter molding and are complete with original brass keyhole escutcheons, iron locks and pairs of circular brass drawer pull handles. They also feature ‘Ebony’ line inlays usually used reflect the passing of a Monarch or prominent person. The chest has a shaped lower apron and attractive curved French bracket feet. An internal nice quality touch are the full depth dust catcher shelves between the drawers.
