Antique English Edwardian Mahogany Display / Side Cabinet.

This is a charming and quality compact sized upright single door Side Cabinet / Display Cabinet for the smaller room or limited space. It is English in origin and made at the turn of the century so made in the later 1800s Victorian period or the Early1900s Edwardian period either way is over 100 years old so is a genuine antique.

Made from solid quality imported central American Mahogany in the style of the later late 1700s Georgian ( George III ) revival. The cabinet is stylish with its bow ( curved ) front with the door featuring four curved panes of glass and showing an interior with a full width removable shelf. Below are three stacked full width drawers with pairs of brass drawer pull handles. in the Georgian manner.

The top surface, door and drawer fronts all feature decorative perimeter cross banding and line inlays in the Georgian Sheraton revival manner.

The cabinet is supported on four shaped curved legs which show a slight Art Noveau influence that was also prevalent in furniture design at this time this cabinet was made.

Condition: Excellent for age and use.
