A superb George III secretaire bookcase by William France Jnr. London late c18th

It was exciting to get the opportunity to buy this beautiful Georgian Mahogany bookcase recently. Made in London by William France Jnr who's father was apprenticed to the great Thomas Chippendale, this is English furniture at it's cracking best, I particularly like the beautiful Gothic glazing bars to the doors. Retaining it's lovely dark colour, & having all the original fittings it needs a week or so of attention from James our conservator. A truly world class piece, I prefer to acquire good antiques in this original condition as I can have them conserved properly & there are no mistakes to undo.
